Before launching my mortgage brokering business, I spent more than 30 years in Canadian banking and credit union leadership, including roles in branch management, retail credit, product management, and internal audit. That experience gave me a deep understanding of lending policy, risk, and how mortgage decisions are actually made behind the scenes. Today, I use that knowledge to help my clients navigate the process with confidence and avoid surprises.

Salt Spring Island is a unique market. Many clients here have non-traditional income, self-employment, complex property types, or financing needs that don’t fit neatly into big-bank boxes. My role is to structure mortgages thoughtfully, present files professionally to lenders, and advocate for solutions that are sustainable, not just approved.
